The OFFICIAL Name list

While we’re normally pretty secretive about our name choices, we figured since this is probably the last (famous last words) one, maybe we should be more open. Isn’t that what blogging is all about anyway? Openness and transparency? Spilling your guts in public? Hanging your dirty laundry out to dry?

Uh….on second thought, that sounds kind of ugly.

Instead, I’ll just tell you the names the boys came up with. (You can tell many of them come from books and movies.) (Or possibly just random words found on the floor, because seriously? Sock?)

Boys:

  • Ill
  • Alien
  • Wally
  • Shirkley
  • Despereaux
  • Prince
  • Babe
  • Jello
  • Daniel
  • David
  • Jerry
  • Cook

For the Girls:

  • Lover
  • Girlies
  • Eve
  • Rose
  • Mary
  • Flower
  • Penny
  • Sock
  • Soft
  • Miffy
  • Cutie
  • Eugenia
  • Chat
  • Mercy
  • Feathers
  • Snow White (“or just White”)
  • Madeline
  • Rainbow

Thanks, boys. Don’t call us, we’ll call you.

Currently my two favorites are Ill and Lover. J said, “And we can spell it Love. Rrrrr.” With Alien and Chat coming in a close second.

So really… you don’t want a son named Babe?

This is hilarious!! Feathers? Soft? I’ve got to admit though Chat is my favorite!

  2. Rachel

Well….no. Although if we have twins, I’ll consider Babe and Lover. They seem to go together. 🙂

I didn’t even start out taking notes, because I didn’t expect them to be so…um…funny? What was funny too, was that we tried to pretend that they were all good ideas.

    love it!
elijah is a little too young to be quite as creative, i guess. but so far we have tank, and molly’s favorite, molly beth. for her little brother. which would be awesome. =)

oh, i would totally vote for babe and lover for twins. perfect.

I know that both you and Mr. French don’t like to use names that can be interchanged between boys and girls, so I think it is safe to say, that I won’t need to introduce my new grandchild as Jello or Sock! Oh, yes, and I hope you have permanently crossed Dorcas Daisy off the list.
